Spent a lovely 3 days in and around Grand Junction with my daddy. We had a wonderful time. (other than stepmom basically phone stalking him, even calling to yell at him while we were hiking on day 1)

On our final day (Saturday 23 August 2014), we headed out to the Colorado National Monument for the morning, even though it was pouring when we left Grand Junction. As we drove around, the rain eventually cleared up, and we got to see these beautiful waterfalls and a nice contrast of the red rocks with the dark sky. We didn’t do much actual hiking since the trails were slippery and there were some larger than usual streams that were difficult to cross, but we did make it out to Devil’s Kitchen (picture 4).

My favorite picture is the first one, with that natural purple color created by the light. Then the second picture, with the TWO waterfalls.

I love Colorado <3
