Here’s one of those cute dinoflagellates for you. Ceratium ranipes with “fingers” it uses to capture more light for photosynthesis. “At dawn, they grow fingers packed with chloroplasts to capture more light. When the light vanishes, the fingers retract.”
 I think it looks kind of like the female reproductive system? Whatever. Still cute.
